Hello and welcome to my little corner of the net, WildheartLife!
My name is Wildeheart but people often shorten it to Wilde. I started this site as a place to put my random thoughts, opinions and memories in a more permanent space. The name Wildeheart comes from my main character in World of Warcraft. I started playing WoW in 2007 just before Burning Crusade was released. When Wrath of the Lich King was released I re-rolled to Druid and gave her a name that would stick with me ever since.
I have been playing games nearly all my life. My first console was a Tele-games Super Pong IV and whilst I enjoyed it the console never held my attentions long. I often would spend more time drawing, reading fantasy books, puzzle games and tearing things apart in my quest to understand how everything works. Some years later Atari released the 2600 and two games, Moon Patrol and Yar’s Revenge in specific, hooked me on video games for life. Role-playing in the form of Dungeon and Dragons soon followed and then my first PC an IBM XT.
The stage was set for a life long passion of video games, roleplaying and technology. With this site I hope to share some of that passion, joy and experience with you the reader. Whether it is video games, hardware, movies, books or rare moments in life, I plan to write about things that are capturing my interest, things that are keeping me excited and engaged, things I am enjoying and things that confuse or frustrate me as well.
With anything I write I will endeavor to think of my audience and place a ‘Spoiler’ tag very prominently where I feel it is appropriate. The Armoury will be a continually updated page with links to Blizzard Entertainments armoury pages and individual character stories as they become available. The Gallery section will be small collections of images I really want to share but never make it into any article. Also of note, some things I write about may be controversial. I am also Autistic. I tend to have very set opinions on things which stems from a very strong sense of right and wrong that will come through in my writing.
With all that said and if you dear reader are still with me, Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your time here and I look forward to engaging with you in the comments!
