Welcome to WildeheartLife!

Welcome Image

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the net, WildheartLife!

Shyvia Honeyman

My name is Wildeheart but people often shorten it to Wilde. I started this site as a place to put my random thoughts, opinions and memories in a more permanent space. The name Wildeheart comes from my main character in World of Warcraft. I started playing WoW in 2007 just before Burning Crusade was released. When Wrath of the Lich King was released I re-rolled to Druid and gave her a name that would stick with me ever since.

I have been playing games nearly all my life. My first console was a Tele-games Super Pong IV and whilst I enjoyed it the console never held my attentions long. I often would spend more time drawing, reading fantasy books, puzzle games and tearing things apart in my quest to understand how everything works. Some years later Atari released the 2600 and two games, Moon Patrol and Yar’s Revenge in specific, hooked me on video games for life. Role-playing in the form of Dungeon and Dragons soon followed and then my first PC an IBM XT.

The stage was set for a life long passion of video games, roleplaying and technology. With this site I hope to share some of that passion, joy and experience with you the reader. Whether it is video games, hardware, movies, books or rare moments in life, I plan to write about things that are capturing my interest, things that are  keeping me excited and engaged, things I am enjoying and things that confuse or frustrate me as well.

With anything I write I will endeavor to think of my audience and place a ‘Spoiler’ tag very prominently where I feel it is appropriate. The Armoury will be a continually updated page with links to Blizzard Entertainments armoury pages and individual character stories as they become available. The Gallery section will be small collections of images I really want to share but never make it into any article. Also of note, some things I write about may be controversial. I am also Autistic. I tend to have very set opinions on things which stems from  a very strong sense of right and wrong that will come through in my writing.

With all that said and if you dear reader are still with me, Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your time here and I look forward to engaging with you in the comments!

PS. This is actually a direct copy of my about page as I thought it would be the best opening for the site today. I would just like to add I have preloaded a few articles and some galleries as well and I am very eager to hear your feedback. This has been a huge project for me and I have poured everything I am into it. There is plenty more to come in the near future and I truly hope you enjoy it. Thank you so very much for stopping by and I do hope you enjoy your time here!

  1. Amg, so much hype! It is up! Looking forward to dive into your new site when real life lets me 🙂 It’s lookin’ good.

Congratulations on your launch, Wilde 😀

  2. Feedback, feedback. It’s all coming together nicely 🙂

    You look lovely ♥

Spoiler tags are very welcome. Remember to not have spoilers at the beginning of the text either; WordPress Reader and all 🙂

Cool idea with the Armory. And those galleries are looking great too.

I think many read blogs in the WordPress Reader, but some, like myself, do visit each individual blog site, because it just looks way nicer that way.

Being able to comment on your posts without having to write my name, website and email would be cool 🙂 (But I forgot how to make that happen…Sorry. I’m so low techy techy, that I forget the solution the day after I found it, hah)

Happy blogging and welcome again 😀

If you feel like it, remember to participate in https://zandcindersblogchallenge.wordpress.com/ 🙂 Good fun!

    • Thank you! <3
You've mention the wordpress reader a couple of time. Ill have to check to see how it parses my site and see if there are ways I can optimise for it. I will also keep in mind your tip for delaying the actual spoiler information in the posts!

As to the Armoury it is just the beggining. I have a few ideas kicking around just didn't have enough time to implement them before launch. Ill make a post when the Armoury is overhauled. 🙂

I am actually looking forward to trying the Blog challenge. I'm going to give #35 a pass due to timing issues but should be able to do the next one! *fingers crossed*

Thank you again for all your suggestions. I love them and they can have direct and positive impact on the site. Both the like button and comments without details have been implemented!

  3. 🙂 Hi again. Super, that Like function works now!

For some reason though; I still have to type in my Name, Email and Website. I wish I was more of a techy techy person, so I could assist you. In my WordPress Reader, I do have to click each of your posts and it takes me to your site – instead of being able to read them fully in the Reader. Am I making sense? It’s fine for me; that’s how I read blogs anyway, but I think some might want to be able to stick to their WordPress Reader. Sorry I cannot be more of help.

Your Tiny Tales idea is so great 🙂

Aw don’t worry about passing on the challenges every now and again; I think many of us are gaming less because of the time – Legion soon over – many living in BfA Beta already, etc.

Happy bloggin’, again, glad to see you join our community here 🙂
